Have a Difficult Employee?
As there are difficult managers, employees also present the same issue. There are many different types of challenging employees and here is a sampling of some: high maintenance, low performers or angry at the world. As a manager, you are expected to handle all issues and a difficult employee needs to be dealt with quickly.

Naturally, no one wants to work with difficult people. When dealing with problematic employees, productivity decreases, frustrations rise, morale goes down and customers and vendors get upset. (read further)
The most important advice I can offer you is to deal with a difficult employee right away. Even if it’s a high performing employee who creates havoc in your department, handle it immediately. All employees impact you as well as other members of the team, so keep on top of challenging behaviors within your department.
