High Performing Employees
All managers want the secret to elevating their employee’s performance. Employees are the key component in the success of a company. If a company is successful, most likely the employees feel respected and know they are instrumental in the success.
“How To Shift Employees into High Gear” by Justin Moore on CNBC.com compares the care for a car so it runs smoothly to the care and maintenance of your employees to drive the company to high performance. An important point he makes is regularly evaluate your metrics in the company as well as keep employee’s personal goals in mind.
Your workforce is the engine underneath the hood of your business. A sluggish workforce makes your business a lemon; an efficient one makes it a pearl. And everyone wants a clean ride. That means keeping up on maintenance, following through with inspections, and not overworking your engine. In business, it means leading, motivating, and driving employees to top performance with the right metrics system in place.
Another point he makes is “trust your employees to perform.” Take time in the hiring process, provide excellent training and then let them perform. Don’t micromanage a strong employee. If you do need to do this, either the training was incomplete or you don’t have the right person for the role.
Be well,
