Finding talent is always a challenge, yet keeping them is based on a strong foundation of appreciation. In managing employees, every effort you make to show your appreciation builds a strong team. A simple “thank you” for work well done or scheduling time to listen to their concerns, interests and suggestions can say a lot to an employee.

Even employees struggling appreciate your desire to help them perform. Obviously, if they can’t meet the standards for the position, you need to make a different decision.
Take time to appreciate your employees and you will notice a difference in them. If you haven’t done it in the past, it will take time for them to appreciate your change. Do it regularly and they will trust you and their performance will increase.
Most employees want to perform at their best and make a contribution…appreciate their performance.
